The Porch Project

Signed a contract last week to replace this with a real front porch, to be built in March or April next week (!). We're looking forward to it. The sharp-eyed will notice that we've removed a couple bushes in anticipation of the project. ================================= No sooner had I posted this picture than the doorbell rang. The contractor's decided to start on Monday. That could be an interesting development.... Two weeks later: Still no progress. I'd say they've come to their senses, but I know better.

And a handsome porch it is, if you ask me. Makes the entire house more attractive.... Just showing the detail work they added after I took Friday's picture. And! Snow's melting, as you can see.
