Thirty or so feet away....
So close, but the focus still isn't quite right. This is a shot the V1/Minolta combination clearly could master if I'd locked in the focus--but manually "getting the focus right" using the V1's electronic viewfinder would be hit-and-miss even if I was better at the task. At this distance I can't see the edges of things well enough to judge sharpness.
Compare this photo, shot using the same camera but with a native lens. Distance is quite similar; both photos are cropped. This is the argument against using the Minolta lens.
Mayhap another photographer could do better, but she'd still be cursing the EVF.
I'll keep playing.
