Bike Ride, March 6, 2010

Since Aunt Owwee asked about yesterday's ride, I thought I'd post the Garmin Training Center portrait of the trip. This was my first outdoor ride of the year. I've been riding occasionally on m' trainer, but far less than I really intend. And had we spent last weekend at home, I'd doubtless have gotten outside a week earlier.
The one road actually shown on the map is M-43, also known as Grand Ledge Highway.
The little loop is within Mulliken; the big loop is (counter-clockwise, from top) St. Joe Highway, Dow Road, Mt. Hope Highway, and Mulliken Road (Charlotte Highway north of 43) in rural Eaton County. All extend for miles in both directions; the GPS only captures where I actually ride.
The graphs probably speak for themselves, if you're interested in that sort of thing. The stop around mid-ride was because I'd dropt my mirror, and hunted until I recovered it. The late-in-the-ride stop was at the local market.
Today's ride looked much the same, by the way, except I rode the big loop clockwise. And the graphs are noticeably different; I rode a bit faster, and more steadily, and was much more worn at the finish.
