My brother, Kalamazoo Richard, bicycled from Kalamazoo to Dayton to attend the 1980 convention of the League of American Wheelmen (Bicyclists, now). He was, I believe, accompanied by a couple other members of the Kalamazoo Bicycle Club.
This photograph is from that excursion. Perhaps Dick will fill in some details in the comments.
