Relay

Central Michigan shortstop Jordan Dean relays the ball to first in the sixth inning of yesterday's game between the Chips and the MSU Spartans at CMU's Theunissen Stadium (which is apparently pronounced like Tennyson). The second baseman is Pat MacKenzie, who initiated the play, the umpire's Mark Ditsworth, and that foot belongs to MSU's Ryan Jones, who was forced out but came in hard. The relay failed to catch MSU batter/runner Torsten Boss.

Ugly game, though both starting pitchers did well; Michigan State won 11-1.
