A flower a day for January....

A whole slew of irises today.

Most of our irises are in this end-of-the-drive bed, which makes them quite difficult to photograph without distracting backgrounds. On the other hand, these make a nice early-summer splash of roadside color, which was my intention. Accomplishing that splash was much more difficult than I originally expected.
