Female Cardinal

Back from vacation last August 20--and doing the laundry--it seemed like a good day to make bird photographs. For the most part they were extremely contrasty bird photos--not sure, today, whether I was doing this on purpose, but the results were certainly interesting.
This Cardinal, and the retreating Sparrow I posted to 366 Snaps (below), are relatively tame....
==========
This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.
Number of project photos taken: 38
Title of "roll:" Birds
Other photos taken on 8/20/2012: I resumed the Daily Flower Census, using the Nikon 1. And the D300 also caught 75 images of the Hummingbird at the feeder.
