Peony

A year ago I took a few pics around the yard, then headed off to the cemetery.
Since I was dissatisfied with all the graveyard pix, I went with a new-hatched Peony. And here it is again, from a different angle.
(And here's another blossom, photographed the same day, in color, via the Nikon 1. I had Peonies on the brain a year ago.)
==========
This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.
Number of project photos taken: 20
Title of "roll:" Meadowbrook
Other photos taken on 6/6/2012: Our yardwork was pretty much done, which is most of what the Daily Flower Census showed; besides the Peonies I found a really nice Zinnia and some Roses. In the evening, reading on the porch, a Downy Woodpecker was keeping me entertained: I took 72 pix of his antics.
