John Taylor, the Cutler of Richmond

This very old trade sign has survived above a doorway in some mid-18th century buildings in Richmond, Yorkshire, England. The sign is probably 19th century and is a reminder of how important metalworking was in NE England during the 19th century Industrial Revolution.
Location: between 18 and 19 Market Place, Richmond, Yorkshire, England.
