Cotton Spinning at Quarry Bank Mill

Nineteenth Century industrial scale cotton spinning in action at Quarry Bank Mill, Styal, Cheshire, UK. The machines make a deafening noise - people used to work in these rooms 6 days a week, 13 hours a day.
Mixed light source, nightmare luminescence range, high ISO.
1/60 second shutter speed not slow enough to reflect the movement - perhaps because I had the 'anti shake' on in the camera.
