Platanthera psycodes (Small purple fringed orchid) -- pink form


Scattered through the many hundreds of purple forms of the Small purple fringed orchids at Mt. Mitchell are a few pink forms.
This has to be my very favorite color for this species. The color varies from a delicate shell pink to the palest of pink -- almost white.
I'm still looking for the pure white one (I found one last year but it was well past peak bloom and not very pretty), and I have high hopes for finding it next year...
