Platanthera ciliaris (Yellow fringed orchid) from above

Toward the end of our day at the Green Swamp, we were desperate to find something to photograph, when Skip found the only Yellow Fringed Orchid of the day. I decided to shoot it from the top, since the orchid lips were sticking out in such a nice fashion.

This particular plant may be a hybrid between the Yellow Fringed Orchid and the Southern White Fringed Orchid, since the tips of the sepals are white.

Nearby were a few Yelloweyed Grass plants that looked promising...
