Ein wunderschönes Licht vor einem grauen und bedrohlichen Himmel, wie es auf dieser herrlichen Insel oft der Fall ist!
(Meine Frau und ich fahren ein- bis zweimal im Jahr dorthin, weil eine unserer Töchter und ihre Familie auf dieser Insel lebt und arbeitet).

The cyclone was particularly violent; there has been damage and -so far- only one victim!
In our daughter's house, just a few plants and branches uprooted and some minor damage. They were scared but all precautions had been taken!
Winds at 200km/h, and especially torrential rain!
Total confinement has been decided until tomorrow Tuesday.

Heureux de savoir que ta fille et sa famille n'a subi que des dégâts mineurs. Malgré tout, la vie sur place doit être globalement très affectée par les ravages, non ?
Une perspective impressionnante sur cette église somme toute modeste.

Effectivement, la somme des dégâts est très importante (cultures saccagées, routes coupées suite à des chutes d'arbres ou de glissements de terrain, etc etc....).
J'aime beaucoup visiter les églises de l'île, la plupart sans grand intérêt architectural mais toutes situées dans des endroits charmants et à l'intérieur une profusion de décos plus improbables les unes que les autres dédiées au "Ti Bon Dieu"!!!!!
