During the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, this small village was liberated by British soldiers. It is for this reason that many villages in this region have strong links with the United Kingdom!

That is lovely! When my eldest daughter was attending a French exchange visit, the grandmother of the girl was so pleased to meet Michelle and she told her of her experiences when they were liberated by the British Army.

Trés sympa cette peite mairie. Pour l'anecdote, pas loin de chez moi se trouve la plus petite commune de France (Castelmoron d'Albret) Paradoxalement cette commune est située dans le plus grand département de France: La Gironde, trés exactement au Sud Est de "L'entre deux mers".
