I had the amazing fortune to spy these two female Pileated Woodpeckers close to the road. They were doing some kind of ritualistic "dance"; one would look at the other, she would turn away. She would look at the other, the other would turn away. I was able to watch this for a good fifteen or twenty minutes, snapping pictures the entire time. Nature is awesome. :)
