Good afternoon, Irene...can't wait to say good night

Hurricane Irene was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it reached us. Here in the Lakes Region of NH we had wind, rain, and loss of power. Our power went out at 11am on Sunday and was finally restored at 6pm on Wednesday. Luckily we had minimal damage on our property, and what little flash flooding we saw in the river down back receded to its original course within half a day. Other areas of the state were harder hit - see www.wmur.com/ulocal/29027494/detail.html
We were much, much more lucky than a lot of folks to the south of us.
