Communal village wash place building still in use today
A washing place was the meeting point for the whole village, the place where women usually went to wash their clothes before there was running water and machines. Given the time each one took to complete their task, that same time was spent in pleasant conversation, "washing clothes" and exchanging knowledge and information. Although they are still widely used today, they are gradually becoming tourist and historical elements.
