Evoramonte - history of its windows

The Castle of Evoramonte, is a Portuguese castle in the civil parish of Evoramonte, municipality of Estremoz. Initiated in 1160, in the Gothic period, it was enlarged in later centuries in the Manueline style. It was at this site that the Concession of Evoramonte (or the Convention of Evoramonte) on was signed on 26 May 1834, that ended Liberal Wars between the Liberal forces of Queen Maria II of Portugal (under the regency of her father Pedro VI of Portugal) and Absolutist armies of Miguel of Portugal. Since 1910, it has been listed as a Portuguese National monument
In the end, the Casa de Bragança to whom it was given, said : After Thy, We remain - thus the knot, their symbol of will and decision, was sculpted and still lasts under those windows.
PIP please.

J. These, besides being part of the decorative typology, constitute a symbolic communication of signature of the ducal power of the House of Bragança.

Sabes qual é o significado desse laço?
Parece que certas instituições o podem ter copiado.... quem sabe se não vem daí?
