I have serious doubts about (supposed) man-made global warming and the role (if any) of increased atmospheric CO2, but I don't agree with him that everyone has a God-given right to drive a car wherever he pleases and pollute the air that others breathe.

I personally hate cars, because of noise pollution, the devastation of the landscape,
and the eyesore that parked cars make of the streets. But that is not the point here.

15-minute cities are a dangerous idea, which must be resisted, as they're part of the Agenda 2030 plan to control the population and take away our basic freedoms. The eventual aim is to have us all under digital surveillance, with a social credit system like China.

Far from it. I nor anyone else has a right to drive a car, and I've always advocated discouragement (through heavy taxation or other means) of private motoring, which has indeed caused massive environmental damage and ruined most of our historic towns and villages.

As for basic freedoms, where the boundaries of those should lie is debatable, but total freedom is possible only in a society of one, and in a plural society personal freedom must sometimes be restricted for the common good, and that's why we have laws.

You will not own a house and will be required to live in a smart-city high rise. If you get bored, the state will provide you with video games and pills to keep you happy, and the pills will transmit signals to show that you've taken them.

There will be no privacy of thought, as the eventual aim is to hack everyone's brain and hook it up to the internet. And woe betide you if you're thinking the wrong thoughts.

Yes, there is climate change, but there is no climate crisis and no climate emergency,
and we certainly don't want to reduce CO2, which is the gas of life.

P.S. I forgot to mention that we will be required to take 'vaccinations' that may have added ingredients to make us less fertile, as a large population won't be needed when the workplace is fully automated and artificial intelligence developed. The plebs will just be 'useless eaters' and dispensable.
