Heidi, this is such a COOL display! All of the products are so interesting and I wonder who the person is. Love all the different things.

I cannot stand the hypocrisy of stores: "NO CAMERAS!!" "CELL PHONE PICTURES ARE FINE." What?! I guess an actual camera is too intimidating or something. I've been glared right out of a store when I've had my camera with me, not even taking pictures!

Superbe shot and right on focus.
As my loved one owns a shop (not the kadewe!) I can understand why shopowners forbid cameras. Many people get "inspired" by the things they see and order them on the internet or do not buy a piece of art or artistic postcard but send just the picture by Whatsapp instead. For the shopowner this is really a nuisance, because they have to pay the rent for the shop. I do not understand the difference between camera and smartphone, though.

A mi me gusta Fornassetti, y no digamos si es de su época! Lo de ahora son reproducciones, y con poco llega .

Das wußte ich nicht.
Dieses Arrangement ist in der Porzellan-Abteilung des Kaufhauses aufgebaut. Es sind alles Teller, Vasen, Wandteller und Untersetzer mit diesen Motiven. Ich gehe davon aus, daß diese Serie in Kooperation mit dem Künstler entstanden ist. Leider habe ich versäumt nach den Preisen zu sehen. Daneben allerdings hing eine Lampe, die kostete 37.000 Euro ... also kein billiger Laden ... ;-)

Fornassetti, falleció en Milán en 1988, ahora lo gestionará, una fundación, su familia, no sé de eso...

I love how you composed this shot, Heidi, it's beautiful!! I also think that it a bit of a joke to forbid cameras but not cellphones which all have great cameras in them! I guess even the shopkeepers realize that they cannot enforce such a rule without alienating their customers, lol.

... ich denke, es ist ein grundsätzliches juristisches Problem. Und es ist noch so neu, daß es vermutlich erst in den nächsten Jahren geregelt werden kann. Niemand kann wissen, WAS jemand mit seinem Smartphone macht. Vielleicht Preise online vergleichen. Oder: der Ehefrau ein Foto der Vase schicken, ehe er die falsche kauft .... Und: wenn jemand Smartphone-Fotos aus einem Laden an Instagram, Facebook etc. schickt: das ist doch kostenlose Werbung FÜR das Geschäft ... kompliziert !

Making a difference between cameras would not hold up in court. Collecting information and expressing opinions and facts are deeply rooted in the law so forbidding that is unlawful. However, to publish photos (and may be exploiting them commercially) is different matter.

Die Benachteiligung von Fotoapparaten bei Fotoverboten geht mir auch oft auf dem Nerv, weil niemand muss sein Handy am Eingang abgeben. Die Handy-Knipser scheren sich üblicherweise um nichts etwas.
Man sollte solche Verbote insbesondere an Sehenswürdigkeiten abschaffen.
