I noticed it much depends on the display used. However, what bothers me on many HDR editing are those "ghostly halos" around the edges. I understand they can be difficult to avoid.

Anyway, I will give this a try when I have time, and get back to this later via Ipernity mail. Is that alright?

Thanks. Indeed your crop is perfect. Although, even the original is very nice and interesting. Those "half men" on both sides work like a frame.

Oh yes Mr. Pivapao has done great street photography!

And what comes to latest digital cameras is exactly the possibility change the aspect ratio. I often find myself shooting square pictures. But I also do crop into 1:1 afterwards.

Yes, I also noticed:

some accounts (profi or semi-professionals most) use this square format.

May be a relict from analogue times (6x6) .... but I feel,
it is a way for HIGH CONCENTRATION on the main content, the meaning of a pic.

We have to think about, dear !

btw: my new Lumix has a 1:1 format inside too !

Here is my suggestion for PicMonkey. On HDR adjust the Radius into minimum (1), and Intensity half way up (300%). Then go to Basic edits > Colors and adjust Saturation something like -50.

This is of course only very personal preference, but I think the HDR Radius only spoils the image, causing awful halo effect.

IMHO schlägt dieses das Original um Längen. Ich denke, das wird auch dadurch erhärtet, dass das Original seit 2011 gerade mal einen (meinen von heute) Kommentar eingesammelt hat. Dieses Bild ist einfach interessanter (obwohl Information entfernt wurde) und erzählt seine Geschichte selbst ...

..... 2011 bin ich zu Pano gekommen, wie die sprichwörtliche Jungfer zum Kind.

Keine Ahnung, worum es bei PHOTOGRAPHIE geht. Hab` halt so rumgeknipst.
Und das dann, so wie`s aus der Mini-Digi kam, eingestellt.

Mich wie Bolle gefreut, wenn irgendwas dann tatsächlich mal auf GE auftauchte.

Der Schock kam dann so nach und nach ..... als ich die verdammt guten Bilder von verdammt guten Leuten gesehen habe .......

seitdem bemühe ich mich halt (mit wechselndem Erfolg),

I like the original, but I actually feel that the processing here has taken the image to another level and makes it more visually stimulating. Love to know how you processed it and with what software .... is that just HDR or did you do more to it? :)

.... started with a pseudo-HDR in b/w (Photomatix)
..... continued with this and the original photo in Photoshop ...... some layers, some masks, some filters ..... ; )

Also, schon alleine der Zuschnitt macht's um Klassen besser, als das auf Pano - die Bearbeitung gefällt mir bei diesem auch sehr gut... allerdings nicht 100%ig bei allen der Serie! Aber, gerade weil's eben eine Serie ist, passt's dann doch wieder! ;-DD
