Im Herbst 2014 plante Google, die seit 2005 existierende Foto-Community PANORAMIO - deren Bilder GOOGLE EARTH bestückt - platt zu machen. Ein neues (werbeaffines, gewinnversprechendes) Produkt namens "VIEWS" war geplant.
Wir Panoramios wehrten uns - u.a. indem wir "Protestbilder" auf die Google-Zentrale in Kalifornien plazierten (hübscher Nebeneffekt von "geotagging").
Mit Sundar Pichai in der Führungsspitze bei Google wurden diese Pläne (zunächst !) ad acta gelegt.
PANORAMIO gibt es noch ... jetzt nicht mehr
Von "VIEWS" hat auch niemand mehr gehört ....

... ich hab' auch schon viele wiederentdeckt, die damals im Herbst '14 extra für die "No Views !- Gruppe" gemacht worden sind. Häufig braucht's halt den äußeren Anstoß, um kreativ werden zu können/müssen.
