Hot Wheels Gold Deora

Hot Wheels Gold Deora
In 1968, Mattel released Hot Wheels, little toy cars and trucks about 1:64 in scale. I loved them from the start and remember getting some for Christmas. This Deora was one of my favorite models from that year because the back bed was painted in that smooth, satiny black paint which felt so soft to the touch. I still like Hot Wheels and collect them.

Oh wow, wonderful car! I have a Hot Wheels Custom Barracuda from my childhood of the same vintage as yours. It was one of the first year models of the Hot Wheels line. I would have had a whole collection of them but my mom discouraged me from buying any more toy cars because she didn't think it was a suitable toy for a girl. I was so bummed.

I spent an enjoyable time viewing a few of your shots (in a somewhat scatter-gun approach!) from your excellent gallery and obviously I have much more to look forward to seeing in future visits!
