Benches and Gulls with the old bridge at Berwick on Tweed as a backdrop,
This 15 span grade one listed structure was built between 1611 and 1624, it is 1,164ft (355 m) long, it is also a scheduled monument and built of red sandstone.

I prefer the image large,

Bei uns in Deutschland gibt es Stahl- und Betonbrücken, die nach 50 Jahren nicht mehr reparabel sind und abgerissen werden. Um so erstaunlicher ist diese Brücke, die mehr als 400 Jahre gehalten hat. Und ein schöner Anblick ist sie auch.

Well, for a bridge built in the early 17th century, it's looking remarkably good - especially in that lovely sunshine. Viewed large the detail is excellent and there's a nice contrast with the newer buildings visible over the bridge.

Gorgeous light and an interesting foreground (I especially like the gulls). An excellent shot Roger!
