Have had these for many years. Raining today. A double teapot is a cricket gesture made by fast bowlers when they are frustrated. It involves placing both hands on the hips at the same time.

street star

Street lamp Saturday challenge - 383 - 18.01.2025 - Dazzling stars This time a technical challenge. Take a photo with aperture rays, without a star filter. - Stop down to at least f/8 or more - test different settings. - Also use a different lens. - In the dark, it is best to find point light sources that shine directly into the lens. - In the dark - place the camera on a tripod or a solid surface and release the shutter with the 2-second shutter release delay. - So-called sun stars also work during the day, don't look through the viewfinder with an SLR camera! It doesn't have to be a special motif - it's all about taking pictures!

Flinders Street Station

15 Oct 2024 6 3 39
From our trip in October 2024. On the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Australia's oldest train station. The station was completed in 1910, and the upper floors were purpose-built to house a library, gym, and lecture hall, later used as a ballroom. Its 708-metre main platform is the fourth longest railway platform in the world. Today, heritage-listed Flinders Street Station is the one of the busiest suburban railway stations in the Southern Hemisphere, with over 1500 trains and 110,000 commuters passing through each day. melbourne.vic.gov.au

Federation Square, Melbourne

15 Oct 2024 3 1 34
From our trip in October 2024. Situated along the Yarra River (the land around Birrarung) and opposite the iconic Flinders Street Station, Federation Square is a public place for creative expression and an area of cultural significance to First Peoples. Federation Square is the centre of creativity in a city that's built around innovation, art, leafy green spaces, a flowing river and contemporary cultural activities and festivals. The gathering place's unique architectural shape has seen the square recognised on the Victorian Heritage Register, making it the youngest building in Australian history to gain heritage status. visitvictoria.com
