I'm still working on getting a good robin shot... I find they often sit down right in front of you on the ground or on a low branch, close and perfect for photography, but during the two seconds I need to get ready, they are gone. A mute swan ( Cygnus olor ) in the middle of a noisy lift-off at Østensjøvannet, Oslo. When processing this photo, I discovered that a nesting great crested grebe can be seen by the water's edge in the background, to the left in the photo.
