Zwei Bauernhöfe

Südlich von Strehlen liegt die Flur von dem ehemaligen Dorf Kleinpestitz. Markant sind drei große Bauernhöfe, von denen zwei hier auf dem Bild zu sehen sind (links Altpestitz 3 und rechts Altpestitz 5). Alle werden heute als kinderfreundliche Wohnanlagen genutzt.
Das rechte Gehöft Altpestitz 5 des Bauern Palitzsch wird historisch im Zusammenhang mit der Schlacht bei Dresden von 1813 gebracht. Hier soll der französische General Jean Victor Moreau, der auf die Seite der Verbündeten gewechselt war, nach seiner schweren Verwundung beider Beine durch eine französische Kanonenkugel notversorgt worden sein.

South of Strehlen are the open field of the former village Kleinpestitz. Striking are three large farms, two of them can be seen in this picture (left and right Altpestitz 3 Altpestitz 5). All are now used as child-friendly residential complexes.
The farmstead right Altpestitz 5 (farmer Palitzsch) is historically brought in connection with the Napoleonic Battle of Dresden in 1813. The French General Jean Victor Moreau, who had moved to the side of the Allies was supplied provisionally here after his serious wounds on both legs. The French cannon-ball struck him while he took counsel with the Russian Tsar Alexander about the situation on the battlefield.
