This was not as peaceful as it may look. Caithlin was not pleased with Bastian sitting on her couch and Rags was ready to interfere in case she needed assistance. :) The "bringing together" of Bastian and the Somalis have been completed according to plan and in relative harmony - i.e with a minimum of hissing and growling and no serious fighting. They don't love each other, but they can be in the same room - well done for adult cats aged 5 to 8½... Of course he had to test the enclosure, but on top of the fence is an electric shock wire. He got down as fast as he got up there and has not tried since... This one was added to Explore for September 1st - but a day late... It is still far too early for them to be in the same room, but they have tried sniffing through a door opening, while the door was secured on a hook. The Somalis growled - this is their territory.
