Das Weinanbaugebiet Côtes du Ventoux hat seit 1973 den Status einer AOC. Das Gebiet liegt südlich vom Mont Ventoux, der hier schön aus dem Hintergrund grüßt. An über 80% der Reben gedeihen rote Trauben. Dabei darf der Ertrag nicht über 50hl/ha liegen. Die Weine aus der Appellation müssen mindestens 11% Vol. Alkoholgehalt haben.

belle photo , avec en arrière plan , le Mont Ventoux. Les vins de cette région n' ont pas très bonne réputation en France :-) . Ils sont très forts en degré alcoolique ( 14° , parfois 15° - à cause du réchauffement climatique ). Mais certains producteurs ( indépendants, pas les coopératives) font quand même de la qualité !
