Do not enter animals

Good advice. This is a sign at the entrance of the Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal that could have benefited from the word, "with" before the word "animals." The Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal was contructed in the 14th Century. It became one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism after thousands of Tibetans fled their country following the 1959 Chinese invasion. ODT: Quoted AIMG_0519

Eye see you

The Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal was contructed in the 14th Century. It became one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism after thousands of Tibetans fled their country following the 1959 Chinese invasion. This photograph of the top of the stupa shows the representation of Buddha's eyes. The symbol between them which looks like a question mark is actually the Nepali character for "1" which symbolizes unity and the way to reach enlightenment through the Buddha's teachings. AIMG_0515

As cities replaced jungles and wires replaced vines, the rhesus monkeys near the Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, Nepal learned to improvise rather than encroach on the teaming sidewalks AIMG_0502
