These vehicles were quite common in Bhaktapur, Nepal and were used for transporting light goods. They seemed a bit unwieldy for the narrow roads, though.

Nothing says fresh meat than a street vender who cuts it to order. Of course, it sits outdoors without benefit of refrigeration and it is subject to passing insects.
