Green and hairy
An odd looking plant found near Mt. Arenal in Costa Rica. It even has a white flower growing in it.

Hairy Heliconia
Heliconia Peluda (Hairy Heliconia). Heliconia are known for their bright colored bracts. Bracts are the leaf structures at the base of the flowers. The flowers are generally far less impressive to the eye than the bracts. Their name derives from Mount Helicon, which, according to Greek mythology was the home of the Muses, the nine goddesses of the arts and sciences,
