Male Hercules Beetle on sugarcane. The Hercules Beetle is one of the largest rhinocerous beetles and can grow up to half a foot long including the horn, although it usually somwhat smaller. It can carry 850 times its body weight and, as was this one, is sometimes kept as a pet.
