La surmédiatisation actuelle de l'intelligence artificielle, déjà d'actualité il y a une vingtaine d'année - ce ne sont qu'artifices commerciaux -, m'inspire ce retour aux sources.
Quoiqu'on nous annonce, le cerveau humain, tant qu'il sera irrigué par la connaissance universelle (et là est le réel enjeu) aura toujours une longueur d'avance sur ses inventions. Gödel et d'autres avant et après lui nous ont rassurés à ce sujet.
Mais cela reste assujetti à une maîtrise par le plus grand nombre de l'arbre de la connaissance. Ce qui est notre seul enjeu majeur...

mais définissons d'abord "essayons de le canaliser pour le meilleur et le moins possible pour le pire"... Il en va de l'avenir de nos enfants. Les actions concrètes restent marginales et décrédibilisées par les médias dominants, heureusement contrecarrées par les médias sociaux (?) que seules nos jeunes générations, porteuses d'avenir, écoutent...
Mais les urnes, qui donne un blanc-seing à ceux qui restent aujourd'hui maîtres de notre destin, élisent (probablement) Erdoğan comme Nétanyahou... Et plus tard un successeur vassal, autant que Macron, du pouvoir financier. Quel espoir en tirer ? Ou plutôt, quelle action en déduire ?? Pour moi, comme pour ceux et celles qui restent mobilisé(e)s, c'est la principale question - qui implique, je le crois, notre humble rôle dans cette aventure...
I'm sorry I'm late in replying. But I'm delighted with the thread of discussion that's opened up, and I preferred to let the debate feed on itself.
Thank you for your contributions, as I thank all the contributors who have shown how involved they feel (here and elsewhere) in the societal issues that are now ours.
We need to get involved. AI, like so many other subjects, is being imposed on us by bodies that are becoming increasingly questionable, if not downright obsolete. But we are still in a minority when it comes to denouncing their power, which is not only egemonic but also destructive (on this last point, the revolt is fortunately gradually becoming the majority).
As I approach retirement, I feel that my role will be to help change the paradigm of our existence, as the younger and older generations have already started. It seems to me that the only valid issue today is for everyone to feel concerned about their own future. In reaction to so many centuries of domination/submission, the deleterious results of which are - at last - becoming clear to the greatest number of people...
(Sorry for the sometimes poor English, but even DeepL has its weaknesses!)
