you have really REALLY been in a hot air balloon ?
wow lucky you if you have .... ;-) and yes the earth is round hehehe
and if you are on a cruise ship ... the highest point you can get
you will also see a similar effect .. the horizon is not straight ;-)))
fabulous picture indeed BRAVO !

ps: I have been in the area of the Harz Mountains and loved it
how lovely it must be to see from the air !

Yes, I went on a ride, and it is fantastic. Of course the curve here is due to the fish eye effect. I deliberately did not point the center to the horizon but below.

We did not gete closer to the Harz mountains than this, the wind took us east towards the former border.

OK, Höhenangst ist hier nicht gerade nützlich, aber ich kann dir versichern, dass Start und Fahrt unglaublich sanft sind - nur die Landung kann ruppig werden (war sie dann auch bei uns) - aber alles Spaß und ein tolles Erlebnis.
