Comet Neowise from near Burbage Bridge

Comet Neowise from near Burbage Bridge
Comet Neowise (C/2020 F3 Neowise) viewed over the Hallam Moors from near Burbage Bridge, on the moorland to the west of Sheffield.

Best viewed large on black: the comet is just below the centre of the photo with its tail extending upwards. The Plough ('Big Dipper') constellation is in the top section of the photo.

This was my first attempt at astrophotography. The image was constructed from 12 separate exposures of 6 seconds each, stacked together in Photoshop to remove the sensor noise generated by the high ISO setting.

Nautilus, Léopold, Andy Rodker and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo
