Sound of Taransay from Bàgh Steinigie, Harris, Outer Hebrides.

Originally uploaded for the Guesswhere UK Group.
View northeast from Bàgh Steinigie between Scarista and Borve, at Nat. Grid Ref. NG 021 940, looking northeastwards over the nameless beach towards Rubha Sgeir nan Sgarbh - the low grass-covered headland in the middle distance. The stretch of water leading into the distance is the Sound of Taransay with the island of Taransay visible on the extreme left. The dark cloud-covered mountains of central Harris are on the far skyline.
Taken with a Zenit 'E' on Kodacolor film and scanned from a print.
