I plantded a bunch of different seeds back in.... april? I'd more or less given up on them, but still continued watering the pots of dirt just in case., and last week a bunch of these guys finally sprouted. Of course, i hadn't thought to label the pots; and the stems with two long narrow leaves didn't look anything like the full-grown forms of anything I'd planted, so I was still waiting to see what they were - low-to-the-ground coyote melon vines? Baby palo verde trees? random desert wildflowers?

...I was not expecting cholla. O.o Who knew those spiky little guys grew out of such innocent-looking leaves?
