Agave? Aloe? No idea. It's a huge, over-crowded colony, with tons of dead plants in the center; when we had all that rain a couple of weeks ago, I started clearing out the dead leaves, and pulled a bunch of plants out (some replanted elsewhere in the garden, some i traded with friends for whatever plants were taking over *their* gardens). Still have a bunch of work to do in there - soooo many dead leaves still need pulling, and while the center is starting to open up, the edges are still really crowded; and now that the ground is dry again, pulling them out is much harder (not to mention trying to work around all those stabby leaves...)
