I have done absolutely nothing to these roses; and while it *has* rained a handful of times over the last couple of months, this *is* still a (hot, dry) desert. And yet here they are, all lush and flowery and smelling like roses... :)
(as lovely - and apparently hardy - as they are, I do plan to find them a new home next winter, once the flowers are gone and they're all dormant; i moved to the desert because I like the desert, and I especially want the front garden - and the planter boxes along the front of the house - to be more regionally appropriate. once the roses are safely in their new home, I plan to replace the wood-chips in the planters with a succulent- and cactus-filled rock garden. :) )
