Optare Deltas at Stansted Airport – 4 May 1991 (141-13)

Saturday 4 May 1991 – Two Optare Deltas seen parked at Stansted Airport.

On the left is Ralph’s Coaches of Langley, Buckinghamshire 106 (H106 VUB) which was new in March 1991 following the company’s success in gaining a four year car park shuttle contract at Stansted for which six new Deltas were placed in service. The vehicles carried the British Airports Authority (BAA) branding.

The Delta on the right G957 KJX was new in July 1990 to the Airport Authority (BAA) although at the time of the photograph I cannot say whether it was still a BAA vehicle or Ralph’s.
