Ah ha, I have taken the very same shot and saw it last night whilst watching one of our DVD holidays from 2012 when we visited Amsterdam. It does not to have changed.

Last evening I was also again in Amsterdam and had a Classic concert in the ‘Concertgebouw’. It was really wonderful to hear all that lovely music and after that, walking through Amsterdam with all the Lights every where!!!

We were there on Christmas Eve 2012 but lots of things had already finished. The main Dam square was empty - the market had all been taken away but it was still nice even in the cold and very wet weather. We took a canal trip and explored on foot too. That's when we saw this center and its great tree. We do love Amsterdam. Good that you enjoyed your concert I presume it was a classical one?

Ohhh, even in het Höllands, dat gaat wat makkelijker Herb!

Da's minder sfeervol dan, als het op de Dam leeg is. Heel vreemd eigenlijk. Het is naar mijn idee altijd alleen maar leeg als er iets te doen is, waar de koning bij betrokken is, bv met Dodenherdenking...

Gisteren was het gezellig druk, met veel wandelende mensen. En vlakbij het Concertgebouw was er een ijsbaan aangelegd met allemaal kraampjes erom heen. Heel sfeervol. Maar het mooist vind ik altijd de lichtjes overal!
En idd waren we naar een klassiek concert van het Nederlands Filharmonisch orkest. met werken van Bach, Tsjaikovski, DiLorenzo en Strauss als uitsmijter met zijn Radetskimars ;)
Middernacht waren we weer thuis na een heerlijke dag uit!
