Misty Moments - For World Photography Day

16.9 format so I would apppreciate it if you would view large
Captured at North Drain on the Somerset Levels on a murky day with mist in the trees and fields in the background , and the unsettled weather turning to wind and rain as I tried to photograph this family of swans. Dad seems to be keeping watch as Mum's brood gather around her on the left of the image.
The unsettled mood in this image echoes, I feel, the unsettled times we are currently facing.
For World Photography Day.

Is this a place you chose for the day? I mean, what inspired you to choose this for our event? Perhaps you come often, or maybe you made a special trip?
Happy World Photography Day!
Ecobird club has replied to raingirl clubThe Somerset Levels is really close to home and is a place we love to visit as there is always something of interest to see. whether it be herons, egrets butterflies, swans or maybe just the light across the landscape. It was just nice to share a place that means a lot to us, especially as we are able to get out of the town and enjoy the peace of the countryside.
Best wishes and a belated Happy World Photography Day to you.
raingirl club has replied to Ecobird clubEcobird club has replied to raingirl clubTrees should be essential in any city I believe. Not only do they bring the countryside into the city but they bring a sense of calm and serenity. I am pleased to hear you have them in your city too.
We are quite lucky in that we have the Levels, and nauture reserves close by, but also have beaches and the Quantock Hills where you can walk and enjoy the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the trees, gorse and the wild horses, but I love to see places where other people live and their own special places.
Many thanks Laura

A beautiful place. I love the contrast of the colors - the rust colored browns, the greys and the greens.
