Wandering Free

Wandering Free
Quantock ponies at Dead Womans Ditch on the Quantock Hills. The ponies roam freely but are rounded up for health checks etc periodically. They are beautiful animals but you do have to remember they are basically wild animals. Visitors have been feeding them sweet treats but the horses have become aggressive in their hunt for sugar and have been known to bite people.

Very beautiful horses. A magnificent shot so beautifully composed. So much harder to do than to sit down waiting for a dragonfly to land on top of a dead branch and click the shutter button when it does!!! :)
