A Postcard From Islay

A Postcard From Islay
Portnahaven, Islay, 'Queen of the Hebrides'. An attractive 19th century planned village with a sheltered harbour and view of the Atlantic, and the best placed mailbox I have come across. The villagers were originally predominantly fishermen and crofters. Sadly, one of the houses has long been abandoned to the elements, It would have had amazing views and is such a shame. My link here is 'Ain't That A Shame' by Fats Domino.

I always love a few drops of malt from there in winter and on sundays by the fireplace! :-)))
