Nature reclaims

This small building contains machinery used by an irrigation system for what was until recently a Forestry England nursery. Seedling pine trees were grown here, and when mature enough, distributed to various Forestry plantations for replanting. The plantations served are located in the north of England and southern Scotland. Since the closure of the nursery, nature has been slowly encroaching on areas that are no longer in use. The fields themselves are used to grow crops, such as maize and wheat.
