Hello Doug, a trip down memory lane for me, I used to see my Grand Dad in the field with a scene like this, him on his tractor and grand Mother would let me walk out to him and and take him a nice cold drink, maybe even a snack. He worked very hard as a Farmer, Doug. A very nice photo, well done here... Best wishes, Sarah

Hello Sarah, I'm glad the picture brought back some nice memories for you. Farmers still work hard, the picture was taken about an hour before sunset and he was still working in the field (at the bottom of our garden) for at least two hours in darkness. He was back the next day, Sunday, and by evening the crop was planted. Thanks very much for your visit and kind comments Sarah.

Hello Rosa. I suppose it must be a bit of a bonanza and easy pickings compared to their natural diet. The striking thing is that no Carrion Crows, Jackdaws or Rooks will go near the fields when the seabirds (or is the the tractor) are present, despite the readily available food.
