Der Besucher der Klosterkirche des ehemaligen Klosters Tückelhausen ist überwältigt von der Formen- und Farbenvielfalt der barocken Innenarchitektur. Das Kloster existierte von 1139 bis zur Säkularisation 1803 und ist seitdem aufgelöst. Die verblieben Gebäude sind zum Teil vermietet oder zu einem Museum umgebaut. Erstaunlich ist, dass die eigentlich armselig lebenden Karthäuser sich einen solchen Prachtbau (vielleicht zum Ausgleich?) gönnten. Die Kirche wird heute noch als als Gotteshaus genutzt. It is remarkable that the Carthusians, who actually lived in poverty, allowed themselves such a magnificent building—perhaps as a form of compensation?
