WOW WOW WOW!!! Aren't they just INCREDIBLE!!! These are such colorful birds and they must be getting super nutrients for that bright color to show on their feathers! I was so amazed when I learned that it's the food they eat which comes out on their plumage! But then, it's the same for many animals, including parrots! Our darling Caique, Pumpkin, fairly GLOWS with her vibrant, healthy plumage. Part of her veggies and fruits include lots of carrots, and that carotene is responsible for the vibrant colors she has. It is amazing to compare her to so many other parrots which are not given a proper diet (only seeds and nuts because the owners don't know/care to feed them right)...they are quite dull and drab in comparison.
