I don't usually like shots in pots or lids but this female has very unusual marks and so this is more of a record shot for me.

Another new species for us, the Filsham event proved to be great for moths, including several Magpie, a Festoon, and Ghost Moth.

Not one we've ever seen before although they are not too uncommon.

First year trapping here, we had loads, second year not one, this year again we had several.
This is a abberation in Mottled Beauty and it is very striking, this one is a bit worn.

First to be photographed.
We had a downstairs neighbour who has several fruit trees in their garden, I suspect that helps these, although they are polyphagous larva.

A quite large and very colorful tortrix moth, the sun and background not helping here, but they have lovely pinks and orange scales.

Never had this little pug before, the abdomen's orangish color is diagnostic. Unfotunately they are not the most cooperative, and I had to take this shot where I could get it...lol

This is a migrant species, but quite common.
Marbled Green

We see quite a few of these a year, they are a local species. This color variation will become yellow with age, as often can happen with this olivey green colored moths.

This is the same moth as the prior, just a more typical color form.
